APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam Pattern
APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam is the screening stage for only short listing candidates for the main exam.
The exam includes 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Now APPSC Group 2 Prelims has questions from General Studies and Mental Ability.
The topics from General Studies include Indian History, Geography, Indian Society, and Current Affairs. There will be 30 questions from each section.
There is a negative marking of ⅓rd marks for each wrong answer.
The time duration of the test will be 150 minutes (2.5 hours).

Three descriptive papers and one optional subject paper (all 200 marks each)
Duration: 3 hours per paper

APPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Pattern
The exam has 2 papers, each carrying an equal weight of 150 marks.
All the questions are objective type. The level of the questions is similar to a bachelor’s degree.
Each question carries 1 mark.
A negative marking scheme of one-third marks for every wrong answer.
