ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR OPSC MEDICAL OFFICER (OPSC MO)
OPSC MEDICAL OFFICER (MO) Citizenship:
A candidate must be a citizen of India.
OPSC MEDICAL OFFICER (MO) Educational Qualification:
A candidate must have possessed:—
(i) M.B.B.S. or equivalent Degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India,
(ii) Must have a valid registration certificate under the Odisha Medical “Registration Rules 1961”; and
(iii) Possessed required conversion certificates recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in case of candidate having Degrees from Universities of Foreign Countries.
OPSC MEDICAL OFFICER (MO) Age:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (Twenty one) years and must not be above 38 (Thirty eight) years as on 1 day of January 2023 i.e, he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1985 and not later than 1 January, 2002.
The recruitment notification offers age relaxation to candidates belonging to certain categories and communities. It must be noted that all the relaxations and reservations would be given to the residents of Odisha only.
OPSC MO Other Eligibility Conditions:
(i) The candidate must be a citizen of India,
(ii) The candidate must be of good mental condition and sound health and free from any physical defects likely to interfere with the discharge of his duties in the service and in case a candidates, who after such medical examination as the Government may prescribe, is not found to satisfy these requirements shall not be appointed to the service. .
(iii) The candidate shall be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have -
(a) Passed Middle School examination in Odia as a language subject; or
(b) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; or
(c) Passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above; or
(d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
(e) If a candidate has not passed Middle School Examination in Odia as a language subject, shall be allowed to pass the examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha within two years of Joining in the service failing which no further increment shall be sanctioned and no promotion to the rank of Group A (Senior Branch) will be made.

SELECTION PROCESS OPSC MEDICAL OFFICER (MO) EXAMINATION:
The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts of Medical Officers will be made on the basis of written test. The written examination shall be one paper of 200 marks which shall be of multiple choices (MCQ patterns). The qualifying marks of written test will be decided by the Commission for this advertisement as per Health & Family Welfare.
Place of OPSC MEDICAL OFFICER (OPSC MO) Examination: The written examination will be held at Cuttack / Bhubaneswar.
