Important Dates for NIFT Admissions for 2023 UG and PG Programmes are
On November 1, 2022, NIFT 2023 exam notification released on official website of NIFT. The NIFT apply online process has begun on 1st November 2022 and end up on December 31, 2022. The NIFT Bachelor programmes are of four years in following areas

NIFT ENTRANCE EXAM ELIGIBILITY:-
Any candidate who fulfils the prescribed age and educational qualification criteria for the concerned programme can apply.
NIFT QUALIFYING AGE:-
Maximum age should be 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR NIFT:-
(Fashion Design / Leather Design /Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication)
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
OR A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
OR 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
OR Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
OR General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).

NIFT QUALIFYING AGE:-
No age limit
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR NIFT:-
• Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India
or
• Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.
• Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/University recognized by law in India.
or
• Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.
• B.F Tech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
or
• B.E / B.Tech. From any Institute / University recognized by law in India.
NIFT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2023: Admission to these courses at NIFT is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in a written test and Situation test/GD/Interviews.
The NIFT written exam consists of two to four tests namely-
General Ability Test (GAT)
Creative Ability Test (CAT)
Managerial Ability Test
Situation Test depending on the programmes for which the candidates have applied.
Based on the choice, all eligible candidates will have to appear for a NIFT written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted.
THE NIFT EXAMINATION PROCESS (for all programmes):
All eligible candidates would have to go through an examination process.
The process for each programme is separately listed below :
NIFT B.Des : For candidates to the UG Design programmes, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a situation test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination.
NIFT B.FTech: For candidates to the UG Fashion Technology programme, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT).
NIFT M.Des : For candidates to the PG Design programme, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.
NIFT M.F.M.: For the M.F.M programme, the selection process comprises of Written test comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination
NIFT M.FTech: For the M.F.M programme, the selection process comprises of Written test comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview(GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.
NIFT 2023 CATEGORY WISE RESERVATION:-
Nift 2023 has category wise reserved seats for different categories which are mentioned below.

The result of the NIFT entrance examination will be displayed on the NIFT website.
On the basis of result of NIFT written test GAT and CAT, B.Des candidates will be called for second test called Situation Test.
For NIFT B.F.Tech., GAT will be the final test for selection .The candidates for NIFT M.Des will take GAT and CAT. On the basis of result of GAT and CAT, in case of M.Des. And GAT in case of NIFT M.F Tech and MFM, candidates will be called for Group Discussion/ Personal Interview.
The candidates applying for the NIFT Entrance examination should ensure that they fulfil all the NIFT Exam eligibility criteria for admission. Their admission at all the stages of the examination for which they are admitted by NIFT viz. Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be) will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be), it is found that candidate does not fulfil any eligibility criteria, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference. NIFT shall not be liable for any consequences on account of such cancellations.
LIST OF NIFT EXAMINATION CENTRES:
A Paper Based Test (PBT) for all NIFT UG and PG Programmes will be conducted on 05 February 2023 (Sunday) at 32 cities.
The candidate may select only ONE city for the examination on 06 February 2023 (Sunday). No request for change in NIFT examination centre will be entertained at any stage.
NIFT ADMIT CARDS:
Entry to the Examination Centre will be allowed with NIFT Exam admit cards only.
On the basis of information given in the NIFT Exam Application Forms, Admit Cards of provisionally eligible candidates will be available for download from www.nift.ac.in
or https://nift.ac.in/admission from May, 2023 onwards.
nift Admit cards will not be sent by post.
Candidates are advised to regularly check NIFT website for updates.
Admit Cards, Results and Counselling Schedule will be available on NIFT’s website only. No separate communication will be sent by post.
