The NIFT Bachelor programmes are four years in the following areas

NIFT ENTRANCE EXAM ELIGIBILITY:-

• FOR NIFT BACHELOR PROGRAMMES (B.Des, B.FTech)

Any candidate who fulfils the prescribed age and educational qualification criteria for the concerned programme can apply.

QUALIFYING AGE FOR NIFT:-

 Maximum age should be 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR NIFT:-

• Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Programmes:

The +2 level examinations in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

OR A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

OR 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

OR Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.

OR General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).

• Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) (B.FTech) Programme:

The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR 3 or 4-years diploma in any branch of Engineering recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

OR A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB). 

• FOR NIFT MASTERS PROGRAMMES (M.Des, M.F.M and M.FTech)

Any candidate who fulfils the prescribed educational qualification criteria for the concerned Master's programme can apply.

NIFT QUALIFYING AGE:-

 No age limit

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR NIFT:-

• Master Programme in Design-M.Des (Master of Design)

• Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India
or
• Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.

• Master Programme in Fashion Management-M.F.M (Master of Fashion Management)

• Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/University recognized by law in India.
or

• Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.

• Master Programme in Fashion Technology-M.FTech (Master of Fashion Technology)

• B.F Tech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
or
• B.E / B.Tech. From any Institute / University recognized by law in India.

The result of the NIFT entrance examination will be displayed on the NIFT website.

Based on the result of NIFT written test GAT and CAT, B.Des candidates will be called for a second test called the Situation Test.

For NIFT B.F.Tech., GAT will be the final selection test. The candidates for NIFT M.Des will take GAT and CAT. Based on the results of GAT and CAT, in the case of M.Des. And GAT in the case of NIFT M.F Tech and MFM, candidates will be called for Group Discussions/ Personal Interviews.

The candidates applying for the NIFT Entrance examination should ensure that they fulfil all the NIFT Exam eligibility criteria for admission. Their admission at all the stages of the examination for which they are admitted by NIFT viz. Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be) will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be), it is found that candidate does not fulfil any eligibility criteria, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference. NIFT shall not be liable for any consequences on account of such cancellations.   

LIST OF NIFT EXAM CENTERS 2024

The updated list of exam cities for NIFT 2024 has been released.

The NIFT 2024 written exam will be conducted across 60 cities in the country; note that in the previous edition, the exam was conducted in 37 cities across India.

The candidate has to select their preferred city when filling out the NIFT 2024 application form.

Note that an exam city can have one or more exam centers.

The allotment of exam centers will be based on factors like:

• Exam city selected
• Address of the applicant
• The seat intake at the available exam centers in the specific city.

NIFT ADMIT CARDS:

NIFT 2024 admit cards are not yet available. The admit card release date will be announced soon, typically during the 2nd week of January 2024 for the written exam and 3rd week of March 2024 for the situation test/PI.

• Visit the official NIFT website: https://www.nift.ac.in/
• Click on the "Admissions" tab.
• Select "NIFT 2024" from the drop-down menu.
• Click on the "Download Admit Card" link.
• Enter your registered email ID and password.

How to fill out the NIFT 2024 Application Form

The National Testing Agency has begun the process of the NIFT 2024 on its official website. All interested students can apply online at www.nift.ac.in. The Last date to fill out the NIFT 2024 Application Form is January 3, 2024. The application forms will be filled in online mode. Below we have discussed a few simple steps that need to be followed at the time of filling the NIFT 2024 application form.

NIFT 2024 Registration

Step I: Visit the official website of the National Institute of Fashion Technology i.e., www.nift.ac.in.

Step II: On the homepage look for the link that says “NIFT Registration 2024”, and click on it.

Step III: Fill in all the Aadhar numbers, after successful verification of the Aadhar number fill in the details asked such as parents' name, Email ID, and mobile number.

Step IV: The authorities will send the login ID and password to the registered email ID of the candidate.

NIFT 2024 Application form filling

After completing all these steps the candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step V: Now the candidates will have to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form by providing all the personal information, educational details, qualifying exam, and contact details.

Step VI: After filling in all the details carefully select the examination center.

Step VII: Now click on the submit button. The application number will be generated.

NIFT 2024: Upload the Documents

Step VIII: After filling out the application fee the candidates will have to upload their photographs and signatures. The authority has also released the size and format of the photograph and signature that are to be uploaded.

NIFT 2024 APPLICATION FEE:-

An application fee has to be paid through online payment gateway or through Bank Demand Draft issued in favour of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi.
