ABOUT EXAM

Management Aptitude Test or MAT is a national-level MBA entrance exam for admission to over 600 B-schools across India. MAT exam is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year – February, May, September and December. MAT is the only MBA entrance exam in India that offers the option to appear in Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT) modes.

MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST (MAT) is a standardised test that has been administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national-level test in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.

All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), New Delhi conducts a Management Aptitude Test (MAT) on a national basis every year in the months of Dec, December for admissions to MBA and equivalent programmes. The large number of institutes participate in MAT.

Candidate can take MAT as

• Paper Based Test (PBT) or
• Computer Based Test (CBT) or
• Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT) or
• Computer Based Test 1 and Computer Based Test 2 (CBT 1 + CBT 2)

MAT ELIGIBILITY:-

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has released the MAT eligibility criteria for the February 2024 exam session. Candidates who wish to appear for the MAT 2024 exam must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Final Year Students: Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for the MAT 2024 exam.
• Percentage Criteria: There is no minimum percentage criterion to appear for the MAT 2024 exam. However, individual B-schools may have their own minimum percentage criteria for admission.
• Work Experience: Work experience is not mandatory for appearing for the MAT 2024 exam. However, some B-schools may give weightage to work experience during the admission process.
• Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing for the MAT 2024 exam.
• Nationality: Candidates of all nationalities are eligible to apply for the MAT 2024 exam.
• Reserved Category Candidates: Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PwD) are eligible for relaxation in the MAT eligibility criteria. For example, reserved category candidates need to have a minimum percentage of 45% in their Bachelor's Degree to appear for the MAT 2024 exam.

HOW TO APPLY MAT APPLICATION FORM:

MAT application forms are available on the official website of the AIMA-MAT exam website. Candidates can fill up the forms to appear in the exam by registering on the official website. Check the MAT application process below: -

Register online at the AIMA MAT website link 

• Enter your name, date of birth, email, mobile number and password
• Select state/UT, city, test option, and a password
• Click on 'register'
• An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number now you have to verify the phone number using the OTP and log in to complete the MAT registration
• Make payment of MAT application fee
• Select exam mode and two test cities
• Enter academic and personal details
• Upload photo and signature in the prescribed format
• Select five institutes you wish AIMA to send your MAT score to for admission
• Download the copy of the duly filled application form after submission

APPLICATION FEE

The application fee for the MAT 2024 exam is INR 2100 for a single exam in any of the three testing modes: Paper-Based Test (PBT), Computer-Based Test (CBT), and Internet-Based Test (IBT). If you wish to appear for two MAT exams in the same year, you will have to pay an additional fee of INR 1500, for a total of INR 3600.

The application fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Candidates are advised to check the approval/recognition status of various programs directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities.

MAT is conducted in most States and abroad in Dubai and Singapore. Some centres will have only offline test facilities.

MAT Admit Card 2024

Important Notice:

Candidates can download the admit card by logging in with their registered email ID and password.

Steps to Download MAT Admit Card 2024:

• Visit the official website of AIMA MAT: https://mat.aima.in/
• Click on the 'Login' tab.
• Enter your registered email ID, date of birth, and password.
• Click on the 'Login' button.
• Click on the 'Download MAT Admit Card' link.
• Your MAT Admit Card will appear on the screen.
• Download and save the admit card on your desktop.
• Take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center on the day of the exam.

Important Information on MAT Admit Card:

• The MAT Admit Card 2024 contains important information such as the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, exam date, exam time, exam center address, and exam instructions.
• Candidates are advised to check all the information on their MAT Admit Card carefully and immediately inform AIMA if they find any errors.
• Candidates must carry their MAT Admit Card 2024 and a valid photo ID proof to the exam center on the day of the exam.
• Candidates without a valid MAT Admit Card 2024 will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

MAT RESULT:

Availability of MAT December 2024 Score on MAT Website: By 1st week of January 2025. Candidates have to download the MAT Score from the website.
