ABOUT EXAM

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Organisations as one of the IBPS Specialist Officers (SO) post, is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XIV).
IBPS, an autonomous body, has received a mandate from the organisations to conduct the Common recruitment process as Specialist officers (SO), once a year.

IBPS SO Exam is a right opportunity for the candidates who want to work as an IT Officer in a Bank.

The IBPS SO IT Officer online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process(CRP) will be conducted tentatively in November / December 2024 by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for SPECIALIST OFFICERS CADRE posts IN PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS (CRP SPL - XIV).

I.T. OFFICER (SCALE-I) VACANCY:- 170

IBPS has introduced 896 Specialist Officers (SO) vacancies for IBPS IBPS SO IT OFFICER 2025-26 exam along with its notification on 1st August 2024 in which 170 vacancy for I.T. Officer.

IBPS SO IT OFFICER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

IBPS SO IT OFFICER AGE LIMIT (01-08-2024)-

Candidate is required to be a Minimum – 20 years and Maximum – 30 years i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02nd August 1993 and not later than 01st August 2003 (both dates inclusive)

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit: - Candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation by the Government of India

1. SC/ST – 5 years
2. OBC (Non- creamy layer) – 3 years
3. PWB Disability – 10 years
4. Ex-Servicemen, including ECOs/SSCOs – 5 years
5. Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years

IBPS SO IT OFFICER NATIONALITY-
A candidate must be either

1. a citizen of India or
2. a subject of Nepal or
3. a subject of Bhutan or
4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. 

IBPS SO IT OFFICER EDUCATION QUALIFICATION –

IT Officer (Scale-I): 4 year Engineering/Technology Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation OR Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications OR Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level

The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

Candidates can apply for only one post. Multiple applications will be summarily rejected.

IBPS SO IT OFFICER SELECTION PROCESS:

Selection for IBPS SO IT Officer would be based on the basis of online Exam. It conducts in these parts:-

• PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
• MAIN EXAMINATION
• INTERVIEW

IBPS SO IT OFFICER EXAMINATION CENTRES:
(i) the examination will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India. The tentative list of Examination centres for the IBPS SO IT OFFICER Online Preliminary Examination and those for IBPS SO IT OFFICER Online Main Examination is available in information bulletin.
(ii) No request for change of centre for Examination shall be entertained.
(iii) IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination  Centres and/or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.
(iv) IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for. 

HOW TO APPLY FOR IBPS SO IT OFFICER

IBPS SO IT OFFICER Candidates can apply online only from 01.08.2024 to 21.08.2024 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Candidates are first required to go to the IBPSs authorized website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link IBPS SO IT OFFICER and then click on the option

After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password.  An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed.

APPLICATION FEES-

IBPS IT OFFICER APPLICATION FEES (only online payment):- The candidates while applying for the IBPS SO IT OFFICER 2024 posts have to pay the Application Fee via online mode to complete the application process.

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate.

MODE OF PAYMENT:-

Candidates have the option of making the payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through online mode only.

The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.

The IBPS SO IT OFFICER Admit Card will be released by IBPS on its official website and registered candidate will be required to download. Firstly, admit card released for IBPS SO IT OFFICER 2024 preliminary exam and then IBPS SO IT OFFICER 2024 mains exam admit card released for those who successfully qualify preliminary exam.

Candidates have to login their account created while filling in the online application form and then download the admit card.
