The IBPS SO LAW OFFICER online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process(CRP) will be conducted tentatively in November / December 2024 2024 by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for SPECIALIST OFFICERS CADRE posts IN PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS (CRP SPL - XIV).

LAW OFFICER (SCALE-I) VACANCY: 125

IBPS has introduced 896 Specialist Officers (SO) vacancies for IBPS SO LAW OFFICER (2025-26 exam along with its notification on 1st August 2024 in which 125 vacancy for LAW Officer.

IBPS SO LAW OFFICER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

IBPS SO LAW OFFICER AGE LIMITS (01-08-2024)-

Candidate is required to be a Minimum – 20 years and Maximum – 30 years i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02nd August 1994 and not later than 01st August 2004 (both dates inclusive)

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit: - Candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation by the Government of India

1. SC/ST – 5 years
2. OBC (Non- creamy layer) – 3 years
3. PWB Disability – 10 years
4. Ex-Servicemen, including ECOs/SSCOs – 5 years
5. Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years

IBPS SO LAW OFFICER NATIONALITY-
A candidate must be either

1. a citizen of India or
2. a subject of Nepal or
3. a subject of Bhutan or
4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. 

IBPS SO LAW OFFICER EDUCATION QUALIFICATION –

LAW Officer (Scale-I):A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council

The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

-Candidates can apply for only one post. Multiple applications will be summarily rejected.

IBPS SO LAW OFFICER SELECTION PROCESS:

Selection for IBPS SO LAW OFFICER would be based on the basis of online Exam. It conduct in these part:-

• PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
• MAIN EXAMINATION
• INTERVIEW

IBPS SO LAW OFFICER EXAMINATION CENTRES:
(i) the examination will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India. The tentative list of Examination centres for the IBPS SO Online Preliminary Examination and those for IBPS SO Online Main Examination is available in information bulletin.
(ii) No request for change of centre for Examination shall be entertained.
(iii) IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination  Centres and/or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.
(iv) IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for. 

HOW TO APPLY FOR IBPS SO LAW OFFICER

IBPS SO LAW Officer Candidates can apply online only from 01.08.2024 to 21.08.2024 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Candidates are first required to go to the IBPSs authorized website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link IBPS SO LAW Officer and then click on the option

 CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR IBPS SO LAW OFFICER-XIV to open the On-Line Application Form.

After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password.  An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed.

APPLICATION FEES-

IBPS SO LAW OFFICER APPLICATION FEES (only online payment):- The candidates while applying for the IBPS SO LAW Officer 2024 posts have to pay the Application Fee via online mode to complete the application process.

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate.

MODE OF PAYMENT:-

Candidates have the option of making the payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through online mode only.

The IBPS SO LAW OFFICER Admit Card will be released by IBPS on its official website and registered candidate will be required to download. Firstly, admit card released for IBPS SO LAW OFFICER 2024 preliminary exam and then IBPS SO LAW OFFICER 2024 mains exam admit card released for those who successfully qualify preliminary exam.

Candidates have to login their account created while filling in the online application form and then download the admit card.
