NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) – UG 2024 will be organized by National Testing Agency as a uniform entrance examination in MBBS/ BDS/ BSMS/ BAMS/ BUMS/ BHMS and medical courses from approved/ recognized medical/ dental/ AYUSH and various Deemed Universities & Colleges in India, as per Section-14 of The National Commission (NMC) Act, 2019, and Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 1997.

• The NEET-2024 will be conducted in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujrati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Odia, Punjabi, and Urdu.

According to the National Medical Council Section – 14 act of 2019, the Nation Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will hold the admission of undergraduate medical courses in all medical institution governed under any law. Therefore, the admission to MBBS courses in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like Institutions will made through NEET only.

The NTA (National Testing Agency) will be accountable for various process of NEET-UG including entrance examination, declaration of the result, and providing category-wise AIR (All India Ranking) to the Directorate of General Health Services & Ministry of AYUSH, Government in conducting the counselling by:  Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS for admission in MBS/BDS courses.

IMORTANT DATES:-

NEET-UG 2024 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

Students who want to apply for NEET-2024, are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before filling NEET-2024 Application. The NEET-2024 Eligibility Criteria will include the age requirement (minimum and maximum), educational requirements, subject studied in the previous qualifying examination, status of the previous qualifying examination, category, and nationality.  The rules are generated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

• Minimum age requirement: The participating candidate should be older than 17 years at the time of his/her admission before 31^st December 2024.
• Maximum age requirement: As per the official notification from National Medical Commission (NMC), the upper age limit for NEET eligibility criteria has been removed.
• Maximum Number of attempts :There is no such restriction on the number of attempts for NEET-2024
• Nationality: The participating candidate have to be an Indian National, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) to pursue his/her Undergraduate Medical Course, or a student with Indian Origin (PIO).

NEET-UG 2024 QUALIFICATION & QUALIFYING EXAMINATION CODES:-

For NEET-UG 2024, the participating candidates need to refer to following qualifying examination criteria.

CODE: 01 – A candidate who is appearing in the coming examination ( 12^th standard) and whose result is awaited will not be eligible for the admission to any Undergraduate courses, if She/he does not pass his qualifying examination within the given time.

CODE:02 – The higher/senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is almost equivalent to 12^th standard school examination after a period of 12 years of study, and the last two years of study including physic, chemistry, Bio/Bio-technology and any optional subject along with English will be eligible for the examination.

*The candidates who have passed their 10+2 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible for MBBA Entrance Examination.

                                                      OR

CODE: 03 – The Intermediate/ Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University or any other recognised examining body with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology and also English will be eligible for the examination.

CODE: 04 – The Pre-professional/ Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English as a core subjects after passing either Higher Secondary Examination or Pre-university examination will be eligible for the following examination.

CODE: 05- The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination   with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course. 

                                                     OR 

CODE:06- B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not  less  than  two  of  the  subjects  Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology and further  that  he/ she  has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

                                                     OR 

CODE:07- Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising  of  Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology; which  shall  include practical  test  in these  subjects)  is  found  to  be  equivalent  to  the  Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including practical  tests in each of the subjects and English

Provided also that to be eligible for NEET (UG) -2024, the candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken  together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination as mentioned in clause (2) of Regulation 4 on Graduate   Medical Education Regulations, 1997 as amended in 2018 they must have got a Rank in the merit list of NEET (UG)-2024 for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses.

In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward classe (NCL)s, the minimum marks obtained  in  Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for Unreserved and  General-EWS Candidates. In respect of PwD candidates as per NMC,CCIM  and BoGCCH guidelines the minimum marks in qualifying examination  in  Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 45% instead of 50%.

Candidates who fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria of NEET-2024 and complete the application process within the required date will be eligible for appearing for the NEET-UG 2024 entrance test.

NEET-UG ADMIT CARD:

• The NEET-UG 2024 Admit Card will be provided provisionally to the participating candidate, if they will achieve the eligibility requirements.
