ABOUT EXAM

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST POST GRADUATE (NEET PG) ADMISSION TO MD/MS/PG DIPLOMA COURSES.NEET-PG 2024 examination will be held by the National Board of Examination on June 23rd, 2024. The exam will be conducted online at designated places across the country.

NEET PG is a qualifying cum ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 10(D) of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.

No other entrance examination, either at the state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses.

NEET-PG is mandatory for foreign nationals seeking interest in Indian Medical Institutes

IMPORTANT DATE

NEET PG 2024 shall be conducted on 23rd June 2024 on a computer-based platform at various centers across the country. 

NEET-PG 2024 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2024-25 which will include the following:

1. All India 50% quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.
2. State quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.
3. All Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
4. Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
5. Post MBBS DNB Courses, Direct 6 years DrNB Courses and Post MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses

The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG for 2024-25 sessions:

1. AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS
2. PGIMER, Chandigarh
3. JIPMER, Puducherry
4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru
5. Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum

No State Government/Private Medical college/Universities shall be conducting any separate entrance for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the admission session 2024-25.

NEET PG ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Candidates in possession of an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 15th August 2024, may apply for NEET-PG 2024 through online application system at website www.nbe.edu.in  

NEET PG ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FOREIGN MEDICAL GRADUATES:-

 Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) as per Screening Test Regulations, 2002 which is conducted by National Board of Examinations. Further, they should have been registered with the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and should have completed their internship or are likely to complete their internship on or before 15th August 2024. Foreign Medical Graduates are required to bring their FMGE Pass certificate issued by NBE on their testing day along with the provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by a medical council.

NEET PG ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS:-

Their basic Medical Qualification equivalent to MBBS should be recognized by the National Medical Commission.

Foreign Nationals desirous of appearing in NEET-PG and those, who are required to have security clearance as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) requirements, shall obtain the security clearance from Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India before applying for NEET-PG examination. The security clearance shall be required to be submitted while applying for NEET-PG examination.

The National Medical Commission may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate course limited to the medical college/institution to which he/she is admitted for the time being exclusively for pursuing postgraduate studies. Provided further that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered with appropriate registering authority in his own country where from he has obtained his Basic Medical qualification, and is duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority and Permission/No Objection Certificate from the medical council of that country to allow undertaking Post Graduation in India has also been obtained.

Candidates are advised not to canvass with NBEMS for eligibility in NEET-PG or issuance of admit card. Queries, if any, can be submitted through Communication Web Portal only. Canvassing in any form shall invite rejection of the application.

NEET PG ADMIT CARD-

NEET PG Admit card will be issued to the candidate once testing venue has been allotted to the candidate by NBE in the city chosen by the candidate during the online submission of the application form. Candidates will be informed through SMS alerts and Public Notice regarding downloading of the admit card through website from 18^th June, 2024.

Candidates are required to download their NEET PG admit card from the website and affix their latest passport size photograph in the space provided on the admit card. NEET PG Admit card will not be sent to the candidates by Post. The photograph should have the following specifications

NEET PG Exam fee:-

For SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs. 2500/-

For General/OBC candidates: Rs. 3500/-

The above NEET PG exam fee is inclusive of examination fees and Information Bulletin. Information Bulletin will not be sold separately. Information Bulletin shall be available on the NEET-PG website for information.

HOW TO PAY FOR NEET PG:

NEET PG Fees Shall Neither Be Refunded Nor Carried Forward If The Application For NEET PG is Rejected/Candidature is Found To Be Ineligible Or the Candidate is Unable To Appear in The Examination.
