ABOUT EXAM

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has started the WBJEE 2024 application form process on the official website wbjeeb.nic.in 2024. The WBJEE application form process has been started from 28.12.2023 - 31.01.2024.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board(WBJEEB) was first established in 1962 by the Government of West Bengal in the exercise of the powers conferred under Article 162 of the Constitution of India in pursuant to No. 828-Edn(T), dated: 02.03.1962.

Subsequently, the Board was also recognized as a Statutory Body Wilde West Bengal Act XIV of 2014 and was authorized for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination in respect to admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in Medical, Engineering, and Technological courses.

The Board is established to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses.

WBJEE has been influential in conducting the admission process through online application e-Counselling since 2012.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board released exam notification WBJEE on official website of https://WBJEE.vit.ac.in/. The WBJEE apply online process has begun on 28 DEC 2023 and end up on 31 JAN 2024. MODE OF WBJEE EXAMINATION: WBJEE will be an offline examination ( OMR sheet based Examination)

ELIGIBILITY WBJEE:-

Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
WBJEE AGE: 

Students must be over 17years of age or born on or before 31/12/2005. There will be no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering Courses for which the upper age limit is 25 years as on 1^st of January of the year of examination.

WBJEE ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

• The participant must have passed the Qualifying Examination(10 +2 examination) with Physics, and Mathematics along with any one of Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Computer Application/ Technical Vocational subjects as compulsory subjects with individual passing marks in all of the 3 subjects as stated above in regular class-mode.
• The participant must have passed English in 12^th Examination with at least 30% marks.
• The participant must have obtained at least 45% marks ( 40% for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the above 3 mandatory subjects.
• The school board of the 12^th examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.

HOW TO APPLY WBJEE 2024

Candidates should have to follow the steps given below to fill WBJEE 2024 Application Form​

• Step 1: Candidate has to visit the official website of WBJEE 2024 at wbjeeb.nic.in and click on the ‘New Registration link. Then Fill in the details... Preview the details filled in the registration and then click on ‘Submit’ icon. After the successful submission of the registration form, an application number is sent to the registered mobile number and the provided email ID. Registration link
• Step 2: After this WBJEE 2024 Application Form, login to the candidate portal using the received application number and the password that you have created and fill in all the details required in WBJEE 2024 Registration Form. Candidates will also have to choose three exam center.
• Step 3: Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature as per the specifications provided by the authorities.
• Step 4: Pay Application Fee through online mode.
• Step 5: Save the soft copies of the application form and fee receipt and also get a printout.

RESIDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS/ DOMICILE CRITERIA:

• There will be no particular requirement for Residential/ Domicile certification to appear in WBJEE-2024
• However, the State (West Bengal) Residential/ Domicile requirement is applicable for admission to any Engineering/ Government/ Pharmacy Colleges/ Technology of the State as well as for the admission to any reserved category seats.

WBJEE will be held only once a year, and there shall be no further examination under any circumstances for those students who are unable to appear on the above examination date for WBJEE-2024 examination.

WJEE Questions will be answered on specially designed optical machine-readable response, which will evaluate by the Optical Mark Recognition method; therefore it is very important to follow the correct method of marking.

WBJEE EXAMINATION FEES:

• The WBJEE Examination Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card only.
• There is no other method of paying the WBJEE application fee besides the above.
• Application fees for WBJEE-2024 is Rs. Rs 500 (Rupees five hundred only) for General candidates and Rs 400 (Rupees four hundred only) for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates, plus the Bank’s service charges as applicable.

WBJEE EXAMINATION CENTER:

• Candidates from West Bengal, Assam and Tripura must select any three zones in order of preference.
• Candidates from other states must select any three zones from Kolkata/ Howrah/ North 24 Parganas/South 24 Parganas in order of preference.

Candidates are requested to go through the Boards website (www.wbjee.nic.in) regularly in order to update themselves for the latest information.
