ABOUT EXAM
IBPS Clerk IBPS Common Recruitment Process for Clerks exam is conducted by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) every year for the recruitment of clerical posts in 11 public sector banks all over the country. All the public sector banks use CRP as a base to fill the vacancies for this post. IBPS is going to conduct the Clerk exam for the 14th year for 2024-25 and hence named IBPS Clerk CRP XIV. The IBPS Clerk exam is conducted on two levels- the preliminary exam and the mains. Students qualifying in both these exams are thus selected for the post. As per IBPS Clerk 2024 short notification, IBPS Clerk 2024 online registration will start on 01st July 2024 and the last date to apply online is 21st July 2024.
IBPS to hold two-tier examinations for recruitment of IBPS Clerk CRP XIV. All the candidates who successfully register themselves under IBPS Clerk CRP XIV will be called for IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examinations. Based on the performance in the preliminary examination, certain number of candidates will be shortlisted for each of these examinations. The short-listed candidates will then be called for IBPS Clerk Main Examinations. There will be fewer numbers of questions in the Preliminary Examination with shorter duration. The details with regard to both the IBPS Clerk Preliminary and Main examinations will be made available on IBPS website through the detailed notifications in due course.

The marks obtained in the IBPS Clerk Preliminary examination will not be considered for preparing the final merit list and the marks obtained in the Main Examination will only be considered for short listing for interview.

Any individual, who aspires to join any of the above Public Sector Banks as a Clerk or in a post in that cadre, will necessarily be required to take the CRP. Prospective candidates who wish to appear for the CRP will have to apply to IBPS and should carefully read the advertisement regarding eligibility criteria, online registration process, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters and score cards.

Candidates who appear for the CRP Clerk will be able to check their status after the examination. Scorecards will be issued to candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks and above in each test of the IBPS CLERK examination.
It should, however, be noted that successful candidates in the CRP Clerk who have been issued scorecards and who meet the stipulated eligibility criteria are then required to apply to any of the participating banks they wish to as and when individual banks call for applications, quoting their personal details and their CRP scores. Each bank will then individually shortlist candidates and carry out their own selection processes such as Interviews etc. for final selection.
Each participating Public Sector Bank will independently issue a separate recruitment notification, specifying their vacancies and stipulating the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, proficiency in Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply, experience (if any), minimum required level of IBPS clerk score in each test and on Total Score (if any) etc
Since IBPS CRP clerical cadre recruitment would be on State-wise basis, candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/ UT only. It will therefore be necessary that candidates appear for examination in one of the centres of a particular State/UT where they would like to apply for employments i.e. they have to appear for the examination from a centre for that particular State/UT as mentioned in Annexure I. The candidate may also be required to possess proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply to be eligible as per the notifications of the Participating Banks.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IBPS CRP CLERKS XIV
Candidates, intending to apply for IBPS CRP Clerks XIV should ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS in this advertisement:
Please note that the IBPS CRP Clerks eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying for the post. Candidates must necessarily produce the relevant documents in original and a photocopy in support of their identity and eligibility-pertaining to category, nationality, age, educational qualifications etc as indicated in the online application form at the time of joining and any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by IBPS/ Participating organisations. Please note that no change of category will be permitted at any stage after registration of the online application and the result will be processed considering the category which has been indicated in the online application, subject to guidelines of the Government of India in this regard. Merely applying for CRP/ appearing for and being shortlisted in the IBPS CRP CLERK online examination (Preliminary and Main) and/or in subsequent processes does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be offered employment in any of the participating organisations. No request for considering the candidature under any category other than the one in which one has applied will be entertained.
I. Nationality / Citizenship : A candidate must be either -
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
II. Age: Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years. i.e., A IBPS CRP Clerk candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1996 and not later than 01.07.2004 (both dates inclusive).

IBPS CLERK 2024 SELECTION PROCESS
The recruitment process of IBPS Clerk CRP XIV occurs in two phases:
Students are required to qualify for both these exams to get selected for the post of clerical cadre in most of the premier Public Sector Banks. The main thing to note here is that there is no interview process required for the selection of candidates after the mains exam. 100% weightage is given to the result of the mains exam result.
