ABOUT EXAM

The Screening Test Regulations of 2002 introduced the FMGE-Screening Test. According to the rules, “An Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15 March 2002 shall be required to pass a screening test held for that purpose by the designated authority in accordance with section 13 of the Act.

As per the current schedule, the Screening Test is held by the National Board of Examinations in June and December each year.

FMGE JUNE 2025 EXAM DATES-

Scheme of FMGE Examination: 

• The FMGE Examination is held twice a year in June and December.
• The FMGE test is conducted in English language.
• The FMGE test shall be conducted as a Computer Based Test comprising of 300 Multiple Choice Questions of a single correct response type without any negative marking as per the existing scheme of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination.
• There is NO negative marking in FMGE Exam.
• An FMGE applicant shall be declared as having passed only if he/she obtains a minimum of 50% of marks in the examination.
• FMGE Results (Pass/Fail) for eligible candidates will be displayed at the website and office of NBE. Marks obtained shall be declared for all the candidates and also displayed at the website
• The applicants who qualify the FMGE Screening Test may apply to the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or to any State Medical Council for provisional registration / permanent registration.
• There are no restrictions on a number of attempts that can be availed by an FMGE applicant.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FMGE 2025

Candidates willing to appear in the FMGE JUNE 2025 exam advised to go through the eligibility criteria before filling Application form for FMGE JUNE 2025.

• Foreign medical graduates must be a citizen of India or should be Overseas Citizens of India.
• Candidates must possess a primary medical qualification from the recognised institution, which must be confirmed by the concerned Indian Embassy of that country.
• Candidates must submit the requisite documents as evidence to prove that they have qualified the final examination of Primary Medical examination on or before the specified date.
• The result of the final examination for the said primary medical qualification should have been declared on or before October 31, 2025.
• Medical applicants who have completed their undergraduate, as well as postgraduate medical qualifications form the following mentioned countries, are not required to appear for the FMGE June session screening test to get the permanent or provisional registration certificate. Such candidates can directly register with MCI or SMC for the certificate and do their further practice in India.

HOW TO APPLY FOR FMGE JUNE 2025:

 The index page of FMGE JUNE 2025 session at National Board of Examinations website www.nbe.edu.in provides a quick link, “Applicant Login”. After successfully logging in, you can use this quick link to access the online application form for the FMGE JUNE 2025 session.

New User Registration: All applicants who wish to be selected for the FMGE JUNE 2025 session must first construct an online profile of themselves in order to receive a User ID and Password.

Applicant Login: The candidate will be able to log in as a candidate for the FMGE JUNE 2025 session and register an online application using the User ID and Password that have been set. After user creation, the "Go to Application" link enables the applicant to carry on with the application submission.

Here are the steps on how to fill the FMGE application form online:

Step 1: FMGE Registration

1. Go to the official website of the National Board of Examinations (NBE) at Registration Link
2. Click on the "FMGE" tab.
3. Select "Screening Tests".
4. Click on "FMGE".
5. Click on "New Registration".
6. Read the instructions carefully and click on "Close".
7. Enter your personal details, such as name, date of birth, nationality, and gender.
8. Enter your contact details, such as email ID and mobile number.
9. Enter your educational qualifications, including your primary medical qualification and internship details.
10. Upload your scanned passport-size photograph and signature.
11. Click on "Submit".

Step 2: FMGE Application Login Credentials

1. Once you have registered, you will receive a login ID and password to your registered email ID.
2. Use your login ID and password to log in to the FMGE application form.

Step 3: Filling FMGE Application Form

1. Fill in the remaining details in the application form, such as your preferred exam center and exam city.
2. Review your application form carefully to ensure that all the information is correct.

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee

1. Pay the application fee of INR 6,195/- (INR 5,250/- + 18% GST across categories) online using credit/debit card or net banking.
2. Once the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email.

 FMGE EXAMINATION FEE 2025

The FMGE examination form fee will be non-transferable and non-refundable under any circumstances.

• FMGE Late Fee – This is to be submitted by those participants who have applied on & after the deadline date of fee submission – Rs 1500/- (One Thousand & Five Hundred only)

Payment Method FMGE 2025

 The required registration fee must be paid using a payment gateway with a credit card, debit card, or net banking account issued by an Indian bank.

FMGE ADMIT CARD:

On January 08th 2025, the National Board of Examinations website, https://natboard.edu.in, will publish the admit cards. Before the exam is conducted, candidates who have been found to be ineligible will not be given admit cards.

The FMGE Admit Card is an important document that allows candidates to appear for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). It contains the candidate's personal information, exam center details, and exam timings. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official NBE website.

How to download FMGE Admit Card:

1. Visit the official NBE website: https://www.natboard.edu.in/
2. Click on the 'Examinations' tab.
3. Select 'Screening Tests'.
4. Click on 'FMGE'.
5. Click on 'Download Admit Card'.
6. Enter your registration number and date of birth.
7. Click on 'Submit'.
8. Your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
9. Download and print your admit card.
