ABOUT EXAM

KSET 2024: KARNATAKA STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST commonly known as KSET is regulated by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). KSET is a state-level exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), conducted annually by the Karnataka State Eligibility Test(KSET) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across Karnataka.

Karnataka Examination Authority released  KARNATAKA STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST Recruitment 2024 notification on 13th July 2024 and  online registration started on 22nd July 2024. Last date to pay application fee is 26th August 2024. KEA KSET Eligibility:-

Candidates must have passed their Master's degree or an equivalent examination from an institution recognized by the UGC with at least 55% of the possible score (without rounding off) for the general category and 50% for the SC, ST, PWD, and OBC categories.

Applications may also be submitted provisionally by candidates who are enrolled in a Master's program or a course that is equivalent to it, or by those who took part in their final year test and are awaiting results. But within two years following the KSET results, they have to show that they passed the Master's degree with the necessary percentage; otherwise, their application would be rejected.

It is required of candidates to take the KSET in the field of their choice after graduation. They can appear for UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET if their topic is not listed.

A 5% concession in aggregate marks (from 55% to 50%) is available to Ph.D. holders whose Master's level examination was finished before September 19, 1991, in exchange for their appearance in SET.

In the online application form, candidates are required to state their reservation status. In addition, by the deadline for submission, they must have legitimate category certificates from the appropriate authorities. If their certificates are found to be invalid, their candidacies will be rejected, and they might even be sued.

In accordance with the reservation policy of the Karnataka government, OBC applicants from states other than Karnataka would be considered as General Merit (GM).

Candidates must meet the qualifying requirements in order to be considered for nomination, which is provisional. In the event that any ineligibility is found at any point, the KSET authority retains the right to reject applications.

Applicants may not reapply for the same subject if they have previously been deemed eligible in prior KSET exams. Their prior eligibility will be revoked if they are determined to be eligible in the current KSET for the same topic.

Candidates with foreign degrees/diplomas/certificates must ascertain the equivalence of their qualifications with a Master’s degree from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi

• There is no upper age limit for KSET.

A total of Rs. 1000/- is to be paid by candidates to General, Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB & other State Candidates as the application fee for KSET 2024 exam. The same amount is narrowed down to Rs. 700/- for candidates to Cat-I, SC,ST, PWD & Transgender Candidates.
