NIT MCA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (NIMCET)

National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are Institutes of National Importance and are Centrally Funded Technical Institutes.
The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a national level entrance test conducted by NITs for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses in select National Institutes of Technology (NITs).

The admission to MCA programme offered by all the NITs that participate in NIMCET is based on the rank obtained in the NIMCET 2023 only. 

Admission to the M.C.A. programme of the ten NITs is done through a common entrance test NIMCET.

MCA SEATS IN THE PARTICIPATING INSTITUTES :-

Eligibility for NIMCET:-

Indian Nationals having minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale(55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in case of SC, ST) in

B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications)/BBA (Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time programme from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects or  

BE / BTech or equivalent from a recognised university are eligible to appear for NIMCET 2023

OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION FOR ELIGIBILITY

SCHEME OF NIMCET TEST PATTERN:

NIMCET-2023 test will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects. Multiple Choice Questions will be written in English Language only and will not be translated into any other language.

• Mathematics
• Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning
• Computer Awareness
• General English

HOW TO APPLY NIMCET 2023 APPLICATION FORM: -

 All the eligible candidates should first register in the website http://nimcet.in/ by entering the personal email-id and the personal mobile number between 05/03/2023 to 10/04/2023 (until 5.00 pm IST). After submitting this information, an email will be sent to the mentioned email-id and the candidate will see a message accordingly on the webpage. The candidates must use only this email-id and the mobile number for all NIMCET-2023 correspondences. 

Candidates are not required to apply separately to any NIT for admission to MCA programme. 

NIMCET APPLICATION FEE:-

 The non-refundable Application Processing Fee for NIMCET-2023 test and counselling for admission to the MCA programme.

• Rs. 2,500/- for OPEN/OBC category
• Rs. 1,250/- for SC/ST/PwD category candidates.

Candidates have to deposit an appropriate amount relevant to their category.

OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION

Candidates are required to deposit the processing fee online through NIMCET 2023 website only.

NIMCET Examination Centres

This is a tentative list of test centers. If enough number of candidates do not opt for a particular centre, then that centre may be cancelled and the center indicated as the next choice will be allotted automatically.
