KARNATAKA EXAMINATIONS AUTHORITY COMMON ENTRANCE TESTS – Exam Pattern

The Examination is held in 2 days in 4 different sessions for four subjects.  On the first day, UGCET Test is conducted for Biology and Mathematics subjects in two sessions and on the next day, Physics and Chemistry subjects in two sessions, each UGCET paper will be conducted for 60 marks each within 80 minutes (10 minutes for instruction fill up on OMR Answer sheet & 70 minutes for test).

1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect or not attempted answers.

Guidelines to fill OMR sheet:

  • OMR Answer sheet is participant specific. It contains CET Number, name of the participant, and version code which printed on it.
  • OMR Answer sheet should be filled by Blue or Black Pen only. Use of pencil in examination is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not partially fill any of those bubbles outside its area.
  • Four dots are present at the corner of your OMR sheets called as “Index Points”. Np scribbling of pen or pencil is allowed around its area.
  • Marking of multiple bubble is allowed only in MCQ’s. If you mark more than one circle in your following answer, then the answer will be considered as wrong.
  • Do not pin or staple your OMR sheet. OMR sheet should not be punched or tied with anything.
  • The OMR sheet should not be folded.
