 The selection criteria for the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Recruitment 2023 include the following stages: Tier-I, and Tier-II.

The IB Security Assistant exam pattern consists of two tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2.

 IB Security Assistant and MTS Tier -1 Written Exam Pattern (Objective Type)

Tier 1: Objective Test

  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Number of questions: 100 MCQs
  • Marks: 100
  • Negative marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer

 IB Security Assistant and MTS Tier-II Exam Pattern (Descriptive type)

Tier 2: Motor Mechanism and Driving Test and Descriptive Test

  • Tier-II (SA/MT) - Motor Mechanism and Driving Test (50 marks): The candidates would be required to drive a motor vehicle as instructed by the instructor. Practical knowledge of the candidates about the vehicle and removal of minor defects/snags in the vehicle, its upkeep & maintenance, etc would also be tested.

[There will be minimum cut-off marks of 40% for Tier-II Exam]

 

  • Tier-II (MTS/Gen) - Descriptive Test on English Language and Comprehension: Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, correct grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc., to test comprehension and paragraph writing in 150 words.

[Tier-II Exam will be of a qualifying nature with qualifying marks - 20]
