ABOUT EXAM

The SECURITY ASSISTANT/MOTOR TRANSPORT & MULTI-TASKING STAFF (GENERAL) EXAM-2023 is a recruitment examination conducted by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, to recruit candidates for the posts of Security Assistant (SA) - Motor Transport (MT) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).

The exam is open to both male and female candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The age limit for the SA/MT post is 18 to 27 years as of 13/11/2023, and the age limit for the MTS post is 18 to 25 years as of 13/11/2023. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has released a notification for the recruitment of 677 Security Assistant/Motor Transport (MT) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) vacancies for the year 2023. The vacancy breakdown is as follows:

• Security Assistant/Motor Transport (MT): 362
• Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 315

The vacancies are reserved for different categories of candidates as per the Government of India's reservation policy.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IB

The eligibility criteria for the Security Assistant/Motor Transport & Multi-Tasking Staff (General) Exam 2023 are as follows:-

Educational Qualification:

• Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent, from a recognized board in India.
• Possession of domicile certificate of that state against which candidates have applied.

For only SA/MT Posts-

• Possession of a valid driving license for mortar cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority.
• Knowledge of motor mechanisms.
• Experience driving a mortar car for at least one year after receiving a valid driving license.

Note- The candidates should have possession of a domicile certificate of that State against which the candidate has applied.

Age Limit:

Security Assistant/Motor Transport (MT): 18 to 27 years as on 13/11/2023

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 18 to 25 years as on 13/11/2023

There is age relaxation for certain categories of candidates, such as OBC, SC, ST, and Ex-servicemen.

Nationality:

 The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Physical Fitness:

The candidate must be physically fit and meet the minimum physical standards prescribed for the post.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must not have been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude.

The candidate must be of good character and repute.

The candidate must not have been discharged from government service or public sector undertaking on disciplinary grounds

SELECTION PROCESS FOR IB

The IB Recruitment 2023 Selection Process for the Security Assistant/Motor Transport & Multi-Tasking Staff (General) Exam-2023 will consist of the following stages:-

Online Written Test:

 The online written test will be of 100 marks, with each subject carrying 33.33 marks. The subjects covered in the written test are:

• General Intelligence and Reasoning
• Quantitative Aptitude
• General English

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

The PFT will be 100 marks, with each event carrying 25 marks. The events in the PFT are:

• 100-meter race
• 800-meter race
• Long jump
• Shot put

Document Verification: Candidates who qualify for the written test and PFT will be called for a document verification process.

Final Selection: The final selection will be made on the basis of the combined marks obtained in the written test and PFT.

Important Points:

• The written test will be conducted in Hindi and English.
• The PFT will be conducted separately for male and female candidates.
• Candidates who qualify for the written test and PFT will be called for a document verification process. The documents to be produced during document verification will be notified by the IB in due course.
• The final selection will be made on the basis of the combined marks obtained in the written test and PFT.

IB RECRUITMENT 2023 SALARY

The salary for the IB Security Assistant/Motor Transport (MT) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts is as follows:

• Security Assistant/Motor Transport (MT): Rs. 21,700-69,100/-
• Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Rs. 18,000-56,900/-

In addition to the basic salary, the selected candidates will also be entitled to various allowances such as dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), transport allowance (TA), and medical allowance.
