ABOUT EXAM

CGPSC is the state PCS exam of Chhattisgarh. It examines State Services (Rajya Seva Pariksha) & Forest Services. CGPSC recruits candidates to join the State Service Examination every year to recruit for the post of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Commercial Tax Officer, etc

On December 01, 2024, the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) will start the registration process for the CGPSC State Services Exam. On the official website, psc.cg.gov.in, interested people can submit their applications online. Candidates will have until December 30, 2024, to submit their applications for the CGPSC PCS 2024 exam, according to the official statement. 246 positions are up for filling as a result of this recruitment effort. Preliminary tests, primary tests, and interviews will all be part of the selection process for CGPSC PCS positions. Registered individuals will compete for these positions.

CGPSC STATE SERVICES EXAMINATION 2024

The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various civil services of Chhattisgarh. Total No. of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) Vacancies: 246

At present, only online applications are invited from candidates for admission to the CGPSC preliminary/ main written examination. After declaration of result of main written examination, the candidate, who qualify to appear at the V.V. Test, will be required to submit the printout/hard copy of online application form, along with the photocopies of the other documents on or before the date to be notified later, for consideration of their eligibility.

CHHATTISGARH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (CGPSC) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

• CITIZENSHIP: A candidate must be a citizen of India. 
• EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any of the recognized Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures or any educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or an equivalent qualification

• CGPSC AGE :

Minimum Age: 21 Years

Maximum Age: 28 Years

SELECTION PROCESS OF MPPCS EXAMINATION:

The CGPSC PCS 2024 selection process consists of three stages:

1. CGPSC Preliminary Examination  
2. CGPSC Main Examination 
3. CGPSC Personality Test or Interview

Preliminary Exam

The Preliminary Exam is an objective-type exam consisting of two papers:

• Paper 1: General Studies
• Paper 2: Aptitude Test

Each paper is of 200 marks, for a total of 400 marks. The Preliminary Exam is a qualifying exam, and only candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks in both papers will be eligible to appear for the Main Exam.

Main Exam

The Main Exam is a descriptive-type exam consisting of nine papers:-

Paper –I Language

Paper –II Essay

Paper –III General Studies –I

Paper –IV General Studies – II

Paper – V General Studies –III

Paper – VI General Studies – IV

Paper – VII General Studies – V

Each paper is of 200 marks, for a total of 1400 marks. The Main Exam is the ranking exam, and the final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates' performance in the Main Exam and the Interview.

Interview

The Interview is the final stage of the selection process. Candidates who qualify the Main Exam will be called for an interview. The Interview is of 100 marks, and the final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates' performance in the Main Exam and the Interview.
