COMMON MANAGEMENT ADMISSIONS TEST (CMAT)
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination. It will be an online mode computer-based test.
This year the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT).
AICTE has now proposed change in the examination pattern having an additional (optional) section for the Entrance Examination for candidates interested in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
In CMAT CBT, a candidate will read the questions on a computer terminal and choose an answer by clicking on the correct option.
There are five sections in the CMAT test. The sections are
a) Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
b) Logical Reasoning
c) Language Comprehension and
d) General Awareness
e) Innovation and Entrepreneurship

There are 20 questions in each section.
The duration of CMAT test is 180 minutes, with no break during this time window.
The medium of CMAT Question Paper shall be in English only.
So, students could move back and forth between CMAT sections.
This means that the sections are not timed individually, and is on the students to manage timing between the sections, while ensuring that they show their competency in all the sections.

Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
Un-answered/un-attempted will be given no marks
At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.
