IBPS SO PRELIMINARY EXAM PATTERN

• For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari-

• For the Post of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer-

• IBPS has separate sectional timing for each section in the prelims exam. The pre-examination has a total duration of 120 minutes and 40 minutes for each section.
• A candidate should appear for the Pre first and the only selected students after the Pre Exam will be eligible to give the Mains Exam.
• Score of the Preliminary Exam will not be taken into consideration for final allotment. The final selection will be based on the Mains Exam and Interview Process.

IBPS SO MAINS EXAM PATTERN

The main exam pattern for the IBPS SO is different for every post as mentioned below.

For the Posts of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer:-

PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests of IBPS SO. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

Note: - applicable to both – online preliminary and online main examinations

CUTOFF SCORE (ONLINE MAIN EXAMINATION)

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in the test of Online Main examination and also secure sufficiently high scores to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview

Marks Obtained In the Online Main Examination Only Will Be Considered For Shortlisting for Interview and Also For Final Merit Listing.

SCORES  

• The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.  
• Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

INTERVIEW

Candidates who qualify the Mains Exam of IBPS SO 2024 will be finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS. It is really important for candidates to fare well in the Interview Process as the final selection of a candidate is based on how he/she fares in this final round of the IBPS SO Recruitment Process.
